James Lewis Dalrymple Jr.
James served in the United States Marines joining in April of 1952 and going overseas in March of 1953. He was selected for duty with the then newly organized Demilitarized Zone Police consisting of marines from units of the First division. The Mission of this special police force was to patrol the 2,000 meter zone between the south demilitarized zone border and the demarcation line dividing the United Nations and Chinese portions of the buffer zone.
